Membership Pre-Qualification Application

Who Can Join?

To be eligible for membership* you must live, work, worship, or volunteer within the neighborhoods we serve. Or, if your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, spouse or roommates are currently members of B.O.N.D. Community Federal Credit Union, then you can join too!

Our current field of membership is defined by the following geographic boundaries:
Cabbagetown
Candler Park
East Atlanta
East Lake
Edgewood
Fourth Ward
Grant Park–S.A.N.D.
Inman Park
Kirkwood
Lake Claire
Little 5 Points
Poncey-Highlands
Reynoldstown

Also, the South Decatur Community Development Corporation, which includes the following neighborhoods:
Winnona Park
College Heights
Oakhurst
Green-Mead
Midway

Sevananda members, Habitat for Humanity Homeowners and Get Checking certificate holders are automatically eligible for membership at B.O.N.D. Community Federal CU.

*Proof of eligibility and a valid State-issued picture ID are required to join the Credit Union. For Children and Youth Accounts, please bring the child/youth's original Social Security Card.


How to Join?

To become a member of B.O.N.D Community Federal Credit Union simply complete a Membership Pre-Qualification Application to open a Share/Savings Account. The initial deposit required is $50, which must remain on deposit at all times. This is your share of ownership in the Credit Union. Share/Savings Accounts have unlimited withdrawals over the counter. There is no service fee for this account, and it provides overdraft protection for Share Draft/Checking Accounts. Once you become a member you are eligible to use our other products and services.
The credit union also provides a lay-away plan in order to allow you to become a member. With the lay-away plan, potential members can deposit $10.00 a month for five months until the $50.00 required for full membership are on deposit.

We Have Your Security in Mind

Share/Savings Accounts are insured up to $100,000 and IRA Accounts are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), administered by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency.
