Overdraft ProtectionOverdraft Protection is an account feature that allows B.O.N.D. Community Federal Credit Union members to automatically transfer funds from their share/savings account, lines of credit or even other member accounts within the credit union, to transfer the money necessary to cover a transaction when you do not have enough funds in your checking account. Overdraft Protection does not cost anything unless you use it and it is automatically offered to all share draft/checking accounts at B.O.N.D. Community FCU. If an overdraft protection transfer occurs from another account, your account will be charged an overdraft protection transfer fee* per transfer. Overdraft protection transfers from lines-of-credit are Free of Charge. If you want to set up multiple account overdraft protection, authorize us to pay your one-time ATM and Debit Card transactions, or opt-out of courtesy pay, please fill out the form below: Overdraft and Courtesy Pay Form *See our Summary of Fees The order in which we pay share drafts and process other transactions is in the order they are received. Overdraft Protection vs. Courtesy Pay An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but your financial institution pays it anyway. With Overdraft Protection funds will be transferred from a previously designated account or line of credit to pay an item when the funds are not available in your account. Overdraft protection does NOT allow an account to be overdrawn (go into a negative balance) to pay an item. Courtesy Pay on checks/share drafts, ACH/electronic transactions, & bill pay transactions and/or Courtesy Pay on ATM & Debit Card Transactions allows the credit union to pay an item when the funds are not available in your account or any designated accounts. With Courtesy Pay your account will be overdrawn (go into a negative balance) to pay an item. Please, contact our Member Services
